Think Pink

We finally found out we are having a baby GIRL!!! We are very excited! She cooperated quite nicely at the last doctor visit. Everything looks good. I can't wait to buy loads and loads of pink stuff. Braydon says he knew it all along. Her name will be Shayelle. March 5th is going to come so fast!!! I can't believe it sometimes.

Birthday Boy!

Thursday was Braydon's birthday... yay 24! We had family and friends come over for cake and ice cream. We didn't realize how small our living room was until we tried to stuff everyone in there! I felt bad because last year I went all out for Braydon's birthday, we went to a concert and took a road trip to Wyoming. This year he picked out his own presents and didn't have any surprises. Oh well. It was fun to have everyone over at our house, it was the first time a lot of them had been here.

Little Hoot
Braydon and I picked out come baby things. We have been looking for a little while and have found some things we liked but nothing we had to have... until a couple weeks ago. We were at Target in the baby section and found the stroller, playpin and high chair we want. They all match and are super cute and very fitting for us. It is called Little Hoot. Take a look...

Visitor
We have had a little visitor at our house. I noticed a hole in a bag downstairs and then saw the little pest upstairs the next day. A (and I use that term lightly, there may be more of them) MOUSE!!!! I freaked out! Braydon wasn't home so I frantically called him and he was close. He told me to follow him so he could catch him, but I wouldn't get off our bed. The little bugger has eluded us for a couple days but we caught him or her. Hopefully, it is the only, but we are keeping traps up just in case.

Love for October- December
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the end of the year, it is so much fun! I love fall and holidays! Halloween was great fun, then came Braydon's birthday, next is mine, then Thanksgiving (which is my favorite holiday), then black Friday (it counts as a holiday), then Christmas and New Years. We love being with our families, having time off work and eating A LOT! This time of year makes my heart so happy!

Coming soon...
Monday we have another Doctor appointment. I have to drink glucose so they can test for gestational diabetes. Yuck! I also have to get my blood drawn and last time Braydon was less than helpful ;) My belly is definitely showing and the baby is moving a lot more which is fun, I just wish Braydon could feel it.
The first part of December we are headed to Vegas, we are going down for some friend's wedding and we are counting it as our anniversary, it has almost been a year!!!
We also got tickets to the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional. We are way excited about getting to go.

About the snow.... please don't be so cold. You are pretty and all, but I'm not a fan of a frozen nose, but hot chocolate helps!

Halloween 2009

We love Halloween! We spent the day in Ogden and Logan. We went to Ogden just to shop a little bit. We found a stroller we want, it has owls on it. How fitting. Then we came back to Tremonton to see our nephews dressed up. They are so cute!

Then we watched a little bit of the world series with Braydon's family. After we headed to Logan to Shalee's party. It was great to see friends that we had not seen forever it seemed. We were going to dress up as an oven with a bun in it (Ashlee) and a baker (Braydon) but that didnt work out so we had an excellent last minute idea. Braydon was Jon AND Kate, hood on Jon, hair done with sun glasses he was Kate, and I was +8 ! We think we are hilarious. Everyone was a little confused until they figured it out and they thought it was funny. Braydon's hair was the best!
Also at one point yesterday I really wanted a Kit Kat so Braydon took me to the store and bought me one and the checker said "Are you really buying candy? You dont want to walk around and get it for free?" Haha we didnt think about it, the night everyone is getting loads of free candy we are buying it!!!

It's a ......

That's right, we have NO idea. Our child is either extremely stubborn or very modest. We had our 20 week ultrasound and we were very anxious to find out what we were having, but the little bugger kept its legs crossed. The ultrasound tech told us that it was the hardest kid he has had in a while and our regular doctor was surprised he couldn't find out because he was a really good tech. So I have already had the experience of apologizing for my child over and over. :) Good news though is that it, whatever it is, is perfectly healthy. Everything looked great so I guess we will take it. Hopefully on our next visit we can get an ultrasound but we are not sure. Fingers ( not legs) crossed!

Us Lately

This past weekend we went to Tooele. Why you may ask.... thats where the Firemans museum is. Grandpa Nick was getting a tile placed for him at the museum so we went. We saw loads of firetrucks and memorabilia. It was fun and look how cute Braydon and his grandpa are. :)
A couple weeks ago Braydon, Curry and my dad got tickets and went to the priesthood session of conference in Salt Lake. Mom and I went for a girls night shopping trip and met the guys later for dinner. I think I like this new tradition. (Dont they look so handsome?)
My little brother is growing up. He went to Bear Rivers homecoming. I cant believe he is dating! And yes Im the embarrassing sister that comes over to take pictures of them.
And this has been our life on the weekends and more frequently for Braydon. He plays baseball for Utah State. He likes it a lot. He has a couple more weeks until the season is over and I have a husband back. It is fun to watch him play and it makes him happy.
Tuesday we go to the doctor to hopefully find out what Lulu is. I am 20 weeks which means halfway! I cant believe it!

What I learned from the dentist/endodontist's office....

1. Their offices still smell really bad.
2. People in the Ripley's Believe it or Not book are crazy.
3. Endodontists do only root canals.
4. Root canals are very expensive.
5. How to make a paper lantern from Martha Stewart Living
6. Endodontist office does not have the best selection of magazines.
7. How to defend myself if I get kidnapped, car jacked or mugged. (courtesy of Readers Digest)
8. Read about a mother of an ex marine that got blown up in Iraq (she and her son were amazing)
9. 10 funniest jokes in the world are not that funny.
10. Having a husband not in pain because his tooth was necrotic is super.

Explanation..... Braydon had an awful toothache last night. He has had issues with it for months, but we didn't have insurance so we didn't get it fixed. It kept escalating and he couldn't stand it anymore. We called his dentist at 11:00 pm last night to see what could be done. He told us not much till we could get in. So, he took pain killer and ibuprofen all night. This morning we got up went to the dentist who sent us to the endodontist to get a root canal. As of 2:00 pm he was feeling much better, except for a little numb mouth syndrome.

Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmmm

Many of you may know that Texas Roadhouse is opening this week in Logan. It is a really good restaurant and Braydon and I have been waiting to go. We have been to others but in Logan it is way more convenient.
Anyway... We decide to go there Saturday afternoon after Braydon's baseball game. The sign out front said "Grand Opening September 21" but we saw loads of people and cars there so we thought maybe they were open already. We parked walked up and a lady stopped us and asked if we had our invitations. We looked at her puzzled like "you have to have invitations to eat here?" We told her no, and she explained that they open on Monday and this weekend was a "friends and family" weekend where the staff practice. We were prepared to leave slightly disappointed but no big deal. She had us wait for 30 seconds while she went inside.
She came back out and told us that they could get us in if we wanted but there were a few stipulations. First we would have to sit at the bar. Ok not a problem, also she reminded us that they were practicing, Ok I can be patient. Also we couldn't order from the menu, the cooks needed to practice everything so we would be handed a card telling us what to order... Ok a little more nervous now since Im rather a picky eater. Then she lets us know that because of all this our meals would be free. And we are in. How would you not turn down a free lunch?
So we go in it is super busy. The people were great. I got a little nervous still because I didn't know what I would be eating. But I looked at my entree and it was Smothered Chicken. It was delicious!!! It had mushrooms and onions, which I picked off, but then it had gravy and cheese on top. Plus I got a salad and mashed potatoes which were heavenly.
Braydon however got the mother load, I glanced at his card to see that he "had" to order the 16 yes 16 0z. Prime Rib, poor baby. It was huge and delicious and we have meat for the next week and a half.
So thank you Texas Roadhouse. We will most definitely be back!!!!
